Slow It Down Girl (SIDG) is a relatable lifestyle blog created by former colleagues and close friends, Lindsay Burke and Liz Murphy. Together, we’ve created this blog to document the things we love. The goal of SIDG is to inspire our readers through our creative and healthy lifestyles, natural beauty, fashion, decor and food.
Meet the Writers
I was born in Rhode Island, went to college in South Carolina (Clemson University), and now live in Boston. I’m a full-time digital marketing manager at a tech start-up and spend most of my days analyzing marketing metrics, developing campaigns and working to improve pesky reporting. When I’m not working, I spend my free time with friends and family, working out, seeking health-conscious recipes, rearranging the decor in my living room and now, crafting this little blog alongside Lindsay. How will I balance my career along with this newly minted blog? Well, I’m not sure about that just yet. But, what I do know is that I am committed to my day job and committed to writing a successful blog. Read along as I share with you my love of travel, penchant for all things digital, and appetite for great (and healthy) food. Thanks for stopping by!
I am a twenty-something visual designer, currently living in South Boston (originally from Swampscott, MA.) A Northeastern University psych grad, I went back to school to study graphic and brand design after participating in an inspiring entrepreneurship program as an alumna of NU. Currently, I am working full time for an exciting ad tech company in Boston’s Financial District. Dedicated to health and fitness, I spend a lot of my free time working out, experimenting with clean cooking at home, and learning about natural beauty trends. A creative spirit, I am continuously in the midst of an art project – whether it be refurbishing furniture, creating wedding programs for friends, or launching my first collaborative blog with Liz!
