Good morning all. Today, I enjoyed my first-ever homemade cashew milk latte! For the past year, I have been a HUGE fan of a little cafe in Boston’s Fort Point area that makes their own cashew milk (its called Nourish Your Soul and its a really cute spot). I always imagined the juicers behind the counter using a crazy messy cheesecloth in order to make their iconic recipe – however I recently realized how simple the recipe is! This morning I whipped it up before heading off to work.
Here’s what you need:
- raw cashews
You simply soak a handful of cashews in water overnight. In the morning, drain the water. Add the cashews, filtered water, a squeeze of agave and 3 pitted dates to a blender (I used a mini single serving blender) and blend! You may need to add a little more water to get the desired consistency you’d like.
Add it to your coffee and enjoy! Its so delish, and better yet – a raw and natural alternative to regular milk and cream.
